Molly – as she is now known by just one name – will be representing the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2014 with her self composed song “Children of the Universe”.
In an interview yesterday the singer/song writer said that her Eurovision song was inspired by the poem “Words For Life” by Max Ehrmann.
“Often, when I felt like giving up, I would listen to that poem and pick myself back up.”
The poem by Ehrmann is almost a lesson on how we create our own future and how we fit into the wider universe. There is however one passage of the poem that reads
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Is this a sign that the fortunes are going to change for the UK at Eurovision?
