The World Music Awards (WMA) nominations for 2013 have been released. To say that they have a hint of Eurovision to them is an understatement. They have a full taste explosion of Eurovision Acts nominated. So who has sold records in large volumes across the world and their own territories?
LOREEN
Loreen may have won Eurovision in 2012 but the WMA are celebrating her achievements. She has been nominated in the following categories
- Best Song – “Euphoria”
- Best Entertainer of the Year
- Best Female Artist
- Best Live Act
- Best Video Of The Year
MARCO MENGONI
Marco has used his 2013 Eurovision appearance as his Global calling card to him and his music. He has been nominated in the following categories
- Best Song of the Year “L’essenziale”
- Best Album of the Year “Pronto a correre”
- Best Entertainer of the Year
- Best Male Artist
- Best Live Act
- Best Video
SAMIRA SAID
Morocco’s one and only entry at Eurovision came in 1980 from Samira Said. The WMA have certainly looked favorably on her achievements over the last year and is nominated in the following categories
- Best Song of the Year “Mazal”
- Best Female Artist
- Best Entertainer of the Year
- Best Live Act
AGNETHA FALTSKOG
Former member of Eurovision’s most successful Act of all time Abba. No further introduction but “It’s Agnetha”
- Best Album of the Year “A”
ANGGUN
Anggun may not have scored well at Eurovision 2012 for France (due more to the questionable staging of her good song) but she has gone on to continue her career to great success and is nominated for the following awards
- Best Album of the Year “Therese – Vivre d’Amour (With Natasha St Pier)
- Best Album of the Year “Generation Goldman Volume 2” (With Amaury Vassili and Amandine Bourgeois)
- Best Entertainer of the Year
- Best Female Artist
- Best Live Act
MICHALIS HATZIGIANNIS
Michalis has come a long way since his 1998 Eurovision performance for Cyprus with “Genesis”. He is nominated for

Sakis Rouvas needs very little introduction. Twice Greek Eurovision entrant (2004 & 2009) and Host of the contest in 2006. Sakis is nominated for

DIMA BILAN
Dima Bilan is one of a select group of Eurovision artists that has come both First and Second at the contest (2006 and 2008). He has been nominated in the following categories

ANOUK
Anouk has resurrected Dutch fortunes at Eurovision this year by making both the Grand Final and Top 10 in the contest. For her efforts she has been nominated for
- Best Female Artist
It has been some time since we have spoken of Natasha, but she has been very busy since representing France at Eurovision in 2001. She has been nominated in the following categories
- Best Album of the Year “Therese – Vivre d’Amour (With Anggun)

SEREBRO
They were Russia’s sexy threesome at Eurovision in 2007. They have gone onto much success and have been nominated for

RAPHAEL GUALAZZI
What a return to the Eurovision song contest for Italy in 2011 when Raphael brought them to second in the Grand Prix. Raphael has been nominated for

AMAURY VASSILI
He may have been the operatic French Eurovision poster boy in 2011, but despite his run in with the law recently he has still earned one nomination

PHILIP KIRKOROV
Philip was already a mega star in Eastern Europe before he took to the stage at Eurovision 1995. He has also been heavily involved with many Eurovision Acts over the years and has seen himself nominated for

- Best Live Act
CELINE DION
Another super star to have come from Eurovision. The 1988 winner of the contest has been nominated for
- Best Album of the Year “Sans Attendre”
