Eurovision Star DANA will visit and perform in The Holy Land in November

1970 Eurovision Winner Dana will visit and perform in Israel

Dana, Ireland’s first Eurovision winner from 1970, has announced that she will be travelling to the Middle East as she hosts a special tour of all the famous Biblical locations. Dana was asked by the organisation “Christians in Entertainment” to become involved in this initiative.

“I was thrilled when asked by Worldwide Christian Travel to lead a group to the Holy Land in the autumn,” Dana explains.”I will be going with my husband Damien and hoping others will join us for what promises to be the trip of a lifetime. I really can’t believe that I’ve never been to Jerusalem or Galilee or Gethsemane before, so it will certainly bring the Bible to life as we tread in the footsteps of Christ.”

The concept of a Christian celebrity leading the trip was created by Chris Gidney, Director of backstage charity Christians in Entertainment. “Lots of people go to the Holy Land, but I thought it would be fun and different if the host was a well-known entertainer with a deep faith. Dana has a wonderful sense of humour and is a very skilled performer. Amongst the all the historic visits together, she will be presenting a special private concert in Jerusalem and will be interviewed about her life, career and faith. It’s a unique trip which will bring refreshment and inspiration for the mind, body and spirit.”
