Irish Eurosong finalist this year – the lovely Zoe Alexis – has seen life after Eurosong go from strength to strength. We can reveal that following her performance of “Fire” at this year’s Irish National Eurovision selection, there has been a lot of interest in Zoe from abroad. Zoe was mentored by Niall Mooney and performed the song “Fire” composed by Niall Mooney, Lauren White and Willie Weeks.

The official video for “Fire” has hit over a quarter of a million views on YouTube and gained a lot of support from “One Direction” fans globally. To put the YouTube hits in contex,t there are Eurovision entrants this year from other countries with much larger populations than Ireland, that have a fraction of Zoe’s YouTube viewings – Kudos Zoe and team. As you can see from above photograph that “E-News” – famed for celebrity gossip – have even been speculating that One Direction’s Harry Styles and Zoe were dating. Even Zoe had a giggle at that one. Zoe and One Direction’s Niall Horan are best of friends as they are both from Mullingar in Ireland. Niall has shown his support for Zoe by sharing her video of “Fire” on his Twitter account.

Zoe’s performances at Eurosong, her recordings and live shows have resulted in several record labels in Los Angeles taking her to California to discuss possible future plans. Zoe will be in a series of meetings next week that could see her being signed to one of the major labels in America. This is testament to the fact that Eurovision is being seen as being more relevant in the Music Industry these days. This should go a long way to encouraging more new talent to become involved in the contest.

We here at Eurovision Ireland wish Zoe the best of luck in Los Angeles next week and will keep you up to date.
