So who will be the artists in the Eurosong Final in Ireland as they search for their Irish Eurovision entrant for 2013 in Malmo. The foreign press seem to be very interested in who RTE have waitning in the sidelines. Well according to the Maltese official site www.escflashmalta.com they have it conformed to them that Dublin singer Melanie McCabe will be in the Eurosong final. We have been in contact with Melanie and no word back as of yet from her.
You may recognise Melanie as she was on the UK X-Factor twice. In 2011 she made it to Judges Houses where ex Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland didn’t put Melanie through to the live shows. Undeterred Melanie came back last year and wowed the audience in the auditions but sadly did not make it to Judges Houses – which was a shock in itself. Well the Maltese website is adament that Melanie is a confirmed act for the Eurosong final. When we hear back from Melanie’s people we will let you know. In case you have not heard of Melanie before – prepare to be amazed at her talent.

Now the next unconformed rumour that we have heard is that there may be a female duo act in the Eurosong final and they are from a more traditional/celtic background. Yes we noticed that 2 female singers have been following a certain mentor on twitter. The 2 singers in question are Donna Taggart and Rachel Murphy. Now these 2 singers do not perform together and have their own seperate social network sites. We have been in contact with both singers and are awaiting a response from them so stay tuned.
First up is Donna Taggart – a wonderful singer with a modern Celtic tone to her music. Here is her song Bright Blue Rose which is the first single from her album Celtic Lady.

Next we have Rachel Murphy. A talented singer from Belfast who has competed at the “U Factor” singing contest in Norther Ireland. Rachel has a stunning voice and one thinks that her and Donna would make a formidable duo. See for yourself

I have been told that Stuart McCabe maybe going for a band for his act in the Eurosong Final. The one band that keeps popping up in the media is Royseven. Would they consider Eurovision? Having seen them play live they are an amazing band and would certainly have no nerves on a Eurovision stage? Again we have asked the questions and no responses as of yet.

We will keep you all up to date when more details are confirmed.
