
RTL, the Luxembourgish national broadcaster, have confirmed they will not broadcast the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali.
RTL have announced that they will not be broadcasting the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, from Ta’ Qali – as it will not fit within the RTL Zwee’s schedule. In 2024 and 2025, RTL Zwee broadcast the Contest live. A spokesperson for RTL, had the following to say:
“I would like to inform you that RTL will not broadcast the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year because the date of the contest does not fit with our programming.
It all depends on the broadcast date of the event in 2027. If the date does not conflict with our programming, we will be happy to consider re-broadcasting.”
