The EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, have revealed a sponsorship withdrawal, ahead of the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.
In a letter sent to the broadcasters that are members of the EBU, Jean Philip De Tender (the EBU’s Chief Executive) and Ana Maria Bordas (Chair of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group) have confirmed that Moroccan Oil has decided not to renew its partnership with the Contest.
Moroccan Oil has been the Eurovision Song Contest’s main sponsor since 2020 and originally signed a five-year agreement, which has since been extended. A new main sponsor has not yet been decided.
