PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, have revealed The Voice Kids, will be their national selection for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali.

PBS have revealed that the third season of The Voice Kids Malta will be used as the Maltese national selection, for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali. The application window is now open and will remain open until 12:00 CEST on Monday 15th June. While applications can be made HERE, application rules are as follows:

• Participants must be between 9 and 14 years old on Saturday 24th October 2026.
• Participants can apply with cover versions or an original song.
• For original songs, they must be between 2:30 and 3:00 in length, be in English and/or Maltese, not be publicly released before the final and must “reflect youth and be fun for the young artist(s) to perform”.
• The finalists will be invited to a songwriting camp, where an original song will be written for them.
• Participants may not attempt to represent any other country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year.
• Eliza Borg, the Maltese representative for the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, may not apply to the selection.

As with The Voice Kids in Poland, the Contest will take place over four stages – Blind Auditions, Battles, Sing-Offs and the Grand Final.
