Details have finally emerged around the 2024 edition of Liet International, which is taking place later in the year for the first time, instead of its traditional Spring slot.

Liet International 2024 will take place on Friday 22nd November, from the Corsican city of Bastia. The minority song contest will be held at the Centru Culturale Alb’oru. This year’s Contest is a co-operation between Collectivité of Corsica and France 3 Corse ViaStella – with the latter broadcasting the Contest live.

Thirteen songs will feature at the Contest. There will be three automatic qualifiers – the winner of Liet 2023, Melissa Pander, a song representing the German minority in Denmark and an act from Corsica. The winner of Sámi Grand Prix will no longer qualify after the two CONTESTS parted ways. Acts have until Monday 1st July to submit their minority language songs. The ten remaining finalists will be revealed at the end of July.
