#SWEDEN: Full Melodifestivalen 2022 Heat 1 Results Revealed

SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have revealed the full results from last night’s Heat at the Avicii Arena. The results in full are:

  • Finalists: Cornelia Jakobs – “Hold Me Closer” & Robin Bengtsson - “Innocent Love”
  • Semi-Finalists: Danne Stråhed – “Hallabaloo” & THEOZ – “Som du vill”
  • 5th Place: Omar Rudberg – “Moving Like That”
  • 6th Place: Shirley Clamp – ”Let there be Angels”
  • 7th Place: Malou Prytz - “Bananas”

The total number of votes made were 207,996. The total raised for Radiohjälpen was 594,955 kronor.

Only telephone voting was used during Heat 1, due to the Melodifestivalen App not functioning properly. Anette Brattström, Project Manager for Melodifestivalen 2022 had the following to say:

“No app votes were counted, but all grants received the same conditions because we only counted telephone votes and the telephone voting has worked the entire program. The voting has worked and there were normal amounts of votes. However, another function in the app seems to have caused some users to be thrown out and then not be able to enter again. For reasons of justice, it was better to turn off the app voting as we could not ensure that everyone who wanted to vote could.”
