
On the lead up to the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is been held in Paris, we are looking back at all the countries to have participated in the Contest and their histories – past and present. Today we continue with Georgia’s story.
Funkids represented Georgia at the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They participated with “Funky Lemonade”, finishing in 2nd place and 103 points.
The Smile Shop represented Georgia at the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv, Ukraine. They participated with “Give Me Your Smile”, finishing in 5th place and 91 points.
Lizi Pop represented Georgia at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Marsa, Malta. She participated with “Happy Day”, finishing in 11th place and 54 points.
The Virus represented Georgia at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Sofia, Bulgaria. They participated with “Gabede”, finishing in 10th place and 51 points.
Mariam Mamadashvili represented Georgia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Valletta, Malta. She participated with “Mzeo”, finishing in 1st place (their best position) and 239 points.
