Sunčane Skale was a popular song festival in Montenegro, between 1994 and 2015. Adria TV, the Montenegrin private broadcaster, is planning to bring the festival back, but as Naše more, naše skale. The revived festival is planned to take place in Herceg Novi once again, taking place in June over three days.
Ivan Otović, President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, had the following to say:
“We are glad that the Adria Jadran media group chose our city for this festival, which builds on the once-famous Sunčane Skale. I am sure that with our joint efforts we will succeed in making our scale from the festival Naše more of our scale, not only a regional but also a European brand.”
Former Sunčane Skale winners have gone on to represent Croatia and North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest. Goran Karan and Dado Topić represented Croatia, while Kaliopi and Tijana Dapčević represented North Macedonia.
