On Sunday, we revealed there would be rule changes for Eesti Laul 2022, which be announced tomorrow, with a possible format change. The format change for Eesti Laul 2022 will feature forty songs across four Quarter Finals. Tomi Rahula, the Producer of Eesti Laul, revealed the news on ETV, the Estonian national broadcaster, earlier this evening.
Each Quarter Final will feature ten songs, of which five will qualify to a Semi Final. Both Semi Finals will feature ten songs, of which five songs from both will qualify to the Grand Final. With the change in format, it will see the Grand Final revert back to a ten song line up, after the Grand Final was increased to a twelve song line up in 2019.
