
During the duration of the Olympic Games, which are been held in Tokyo, we will be taking a different Eurovision country each day. Today we are looking at Spain’s best Eurovision entry, after they took Gold in the Mixed Team Trap Shooting competition.
Spain have made the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest a total of 60 times. In 1968, when the Contest took place in London, the United Kingdom, Spain achieved their best position to date with a 1st place. Massiel performed “La, La, La” and achieved a total of 29 points.
In 1969, when the Contest took place in Madrid, Spain, Spain achieved another 1st place. Salomé performed “Vivo cantando” and achieved a total of 18 points.
