
While tonight isn’t a specific #EurovisiionAgain event, the team at the official Eurovision YouTube channel have a special treat in store. The 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, Greece, was used as a test event for High Definition broadcasting, although it was only broadcast in Standard Definition.
The High Definition footage has been discovered and for the first time ever, the official Eurovision YouTube channel will be broadcasting the 2006 Grand Final in HD, interspersed with Standard Definition footage where the HD doesn’t exist. This will be premiered at 20:00 BST/21:00 CEST. You can watch on the official Eurovision YouTube channel or through the stream below:
