
The 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place on Saturday 20th November. The event was hosted at Håkons Hall by Nadia Hasnaoui and Stian Barsnes Simonsen. The top 3 were:
1st: Spain – 171 points
2nd: United Kingdom – 140 points
3rd: Croatia – 126 points
There were two debutants at the second Junior Eurovision Song Contest – these were France and Switzerland. This took the number of participating countries to eighteen.
So who was awarded the famous 12 points? Eight sets of twelve points were awarded to Spain; three sets to Romania; two sets to Croatia and Greece; with one set going to Cyprus, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
