IRELAND: Eurovision Ireland reviews the 1981 National Song Contest

Hi folks. We at Eurovision Ireland have cast our discerning eyes over another one of Ireland’s national finals through the years. This time, we’ve chosen 1981.

As you’ll know, Johnny Logan won in 1980, meaning a second ever contest in Dublin. Eight acts vied for the chance to represent their country on home turf.

Here, we review each of the songs. What do you think? Do you agree with us? And just as importantly, did Ireland send the right song to the 1981 contest?
