We have selection news from this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest host country Poland, as well as Ukraine.
In Poland, ‘Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja 2020’ will conclude on Sunday 27th September. Three semi finals will take place on 6th, 13th and 20th September. Twenty one acts will be divided into groups of seven for the three semi finals.
During the semi finals, each act will perform a cover, with a jury (different in each semi final) selecting one act to qualify for the Final. In the Final, the three qualifying acts will perform a cover and the song they want to represent Poland with. The winner will be chosen by 50% jury and 50% public vote.
Ukraine will use an Online selection for a third consecutive year. Applications can be made with or without an original song. Those successful without an original song, will be allocated one. The applications can be made between Wednesday 5th August and Tuesday 25th August.
Eleven finalists (eight acts with original songs, two with covers and the one act with the most online likes) will progress to online voting between Saturday 5th September and Tuesday 8th September. The winner will be announced no later than Saturday 12th September.
