Eurovision may be over for another year, but preparations for Junior Eurovision are just getting started! Earlier today we learned the name of the first contestant heading to Gliwice in Poland this November, and it’s Giorgi Rostiashvili from Georgia!
Giorgi won Ranina, the Georgian national broadcaster’s Junior Eurovision selection event. During the course of the show, all the young artists got the chance to perform alongside well known Georgian performers and a live orchestra. A professional jury panel headed by Dato Evgenidze decided on the winner of the competition, which took place in Tbilisi’s Liberty Square and coincided with Georgia’s independence day celebrations.
Have a listen to Giorgi below!
Georgia have an incredible record at Junior Eurovision with 3 wins under their belt. Can Giorgi improve on Georgia’s 8th place finish in Minsk last year? Can he even bring them a 4th win?
Let us know what you think!
