ESC2019: Statement on Grand Final jury result
The EBU has acknowledged a mistake in the jury results from the Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
After the Belarusian jury was dismissed for the Grand Final, an aggregation of other jury scores were used to determine that country’s result. However, due to an error, the incorrect results were given. The results from the jury have been amended to:
12 pts – Malta
10 pts – North Macedonia
8 pts – Cyprus
7 pts – Italy
6 pts – Netherlands
5 pts – Azerbaijan
4 pts – Switzerland
3 pts – Serbia
2 pts – Sweden
1 pt – Russia
As a result, Sweden and Norway swapped places (5th and 6th), Israel lost 12 of its points, and the UK’s points were revised downwards from 16 to 11. You can find the new final scores HERE.
The EBU assures us that measures are now in place to ensure this does not happen again.
