It’s been another busy day here at Eurovision 2019! After another packed day of rehearsals, interviews and general shenanigans, we’ve now seen all the acts taking part the 1st semi final!
But how has this affected the betting odds? Once all the countries taking to the stage today had finished, we had a look at the betting odds over at oddschecker.com to see what the bookies have made of today’s proceedings.
Whose stars are rising high? Whose staging has taken a dive? Let’s take a look at the position of the countries in the overall odds and how this compares to last week before rehearsals started!
Belgium – 24th (down 2)
Georgia – 41st (no change)
Australia – 12th (up 2)
Iceland – 6th (no change)
Estonia – 24th (down 2)
Portugal – 14th (down 2)
Greece – 9th (no change)
San Marino – 38th (no change)
Quite a bit more movement today, with half of performing songs having their odds changed. Belgium, Estonia and Portugal have all dipped down two places after today’s rehearsals, while Australia has gained 2 places. Iceland, San Marino, Georgia and Greece have all maintained their positions – which after the rapturous response Georgia got, I personally find inexplicable!
Will tomorrow’s rehearsals have a bigger impact on the odds? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
