NOR: Performers revealed for MGP 2019
Norwegian broadcaster NRK has revealed the 10 lucky acts vying for kingdom’s golden ticket to Tel Aviv in May. Melodi Grand Prix 2019 will take place on Saturday 2 March.
But what will the residents of Norway get the choice of?
Adrian Jørgensen – The bubble
Anna-Lisa Kumoji – Holla
Carina Dahl – Hold me down
Chris Medina – We try
D’Sound – Mr Unicorn
Erlend Bratland – Sing for you
Hank von Hell – Fake it
Ingrid Berg Mehus – Feel
KEiiNO – Spirit in the sky
Mørland – En livredd mann
You can listen to all the songs HERE.
As you’ll see, all but one of the songs are in English. What’s also noteworthy is that the one name with Eurovision Grand Final experience – Kjetil Mørland – is singing it.
Erlend Bratland has tried before, and was runner-up in MGP 2015 to Mørland & Debrah Scarlett. Is he after revenge?
Carina Dahl tried at MGPs 2011 and 2013, and this is her first MGP Final appearance.
Adrian Jørgensen has been a backing singer in two MGPs, but this is his first time as a lead artist.
The winner will be chosen by a combination of international jury and Norwegian televoting – sound familiar?
We at Eurovision Ireland wish NRK all the best in their selection.
