Last year, Muireann McDonnell represented Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her entry “Suile Glasa”. Muireann finished in 15th place, with a total of 54 points.
On Tuesday night, the McDonnell family sat down to watch the Welsh National Final – Chwilio am Seren, one year after Muireann took part in the Irish National Selection. Muireann’s Mum, Elaine, gave us the following statement:
“Our feed was glitchy so we missed a few bits here and there, but we loved Manw from the start. A beautiful, pure voice. We look forward to cheering for Wales (after Ireland of course! ) . We were disappointed that Lauren didn’t get any votes as she was also one of our favourites from the start.”
We would like to thank the McDonnell family for providing us with a small review of Wales inaugural Chwilio am Seren.
