5th May – 28 Years Ago Today
On this day in 1990, the 35th Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, Zagreb. Toto Cutugno took part for Italy, becoming the second and last entry to win for her country to date. Toto Cutugno finished with a 17 point margin over their nearest competitor, Joelle Ursell from France.

5th May – 34 Years Ago Today
On this day in 1984, the 29th Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Grand Theatre, Luxembourg City. The Eurovision Song Contest witnessed a fourth win from Sweden. The Herreys performed “Diggi-Loo, Diggi Ley” and won with a margin of 8 points over Linda Martin, from Ireland.
