Earlier this evening, further details of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest were announced. The slogan is the most tangible of the details – this year we see the return of the hashtag been used, #LightUp.
The date for the contest has officially been set as Sunday 25th November and will take place in the Minsk Arena – the same location as the 2010 contest.
Alongside the slogan, the logo was also revealed (as seen above), based around a morning star made of vertically inverted soundwaves.

I’m not sure it’s the best idea in the world to have a slogan that encourages impressionable young people to “light up.”
