Last week, we reported on the announcement that the Portuguese broadcaster was to reveal the hosts for the up-coming Eurovision Song Contest on Monday 8th January. But this morning, Portuguese news site Impala.pt have run a story that seems to have given the big secret away!

According to Impala.pt, Eurovision 2018 will be hosted by not 2, not 3 but 4 lovely ladies! Turning the tide well and truly against the all male trio in 2017, Catarina Furtado, Daniela Ruah, Filomena Cautela and Sílvia Alberto have all been named by the site as hosts for Portugal’s first ever Eurovision.

All four faces are well known in Portugal. Catarina and Sílvia have both hosted Festival da Cançao, while Daniela is an actress best known for starring in Criminal Investigation – Los Angeles. Making up the quartet, Filomena hosted the Eurovision 2018 host city announcement press conference and was also once a voting spokeswoman for Eurovision.

We have to state that this announcement does not come from RTP and has not been verified by them. Impala.pt claim the 4 women had a photo shoot last week ahead of Monday’s upcoming announcement.
