It’s said Eurovision can often be a launch pad for an artist’s international carer – but Macedonia’s Jana Burčeska already has her sights set on the American music scene and the Grammys!
Jana will be providing live commentary for Macedonia TV on tonight’s Grammy Awards Show alongside Macedonia’s Head of Press for Eurovision, Aleksandra Jovanovska. As well as keeping an eye on all the going’s on at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles and giving us their thoughts of the night’s music and fashion, no doubt they’ll also discuss Jana’s upcoming trip to Kyiv for Eurovision this May!
A known fan of host James Corden’s wicked sense of humour, Jana also says she fully expects Beyoncé to leave the show with most of tonight’s awards – I would have said Adele personally, but let’s see who is right!
If you want to follow tonight’s star studded line up, including nominations for Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson and Sia, you can follow Jana and Aleksandra’s exploits on Macedonia TV and on Jana’s personal Instagram page, where she’ll be posting updates throughout the show.
Believe it or not, Eurovision is no stranger to the Grammys. Domenico Modugno’s ‘Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu’ (you may remember the song as Volare) won both Record of the Year and Song of the Year way back at the first Grammy Awards in 1959 – it remains the only Eurovision song EVER to win a Grammy!
Will you be tuning in for Jana’s commentary? Who do you think will win big at tonight’s awards? Do you think we’ll ever see another Eurovision song winning a Grammy?
Let us know what you think!
