So, the question that Georgian’s everywhere ( Except those from American Georgia) have been asking has been answered this morning. “Who will represent Georgia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest?”

GPB have announced that Nika Kocharov & The Young Georgian Lolitaz got that phone call to represent Georgia in May!!!

Who? – I hear you cry? – Well, they can be described best as an Indie band with a look of the old “Britpop” bands of the 90’s-2000’s.

But what of the song? – Well there will be an internal selection taking place to get the sea of entries down to a manageable five which will be voted on by an “expert” jury and the fine public of Georgia.   However if you were thinking of entering, you must be able to write in the style that these musicians have cultivated, or as GPB put it :

“melodic song structure of alternative and indie rock with electronic beats, synths and/or samples, and club orientation of post-disco dance music. The composition (lyrics and music) must not have been commercially released before”

All songs must be in before January 8^th along with your CV (blimey!)
