JESC 2015 logo

So we now have a full field of competitors for the 13th Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It promises to be a great show with 17 (count them) entrants and no doubt a whole host of surprises. To get you in the mood, here’s a message from hostess Poli Genova. You might remember her from a certain more senior event in 2011.

We won’t know the running order until the week of the contest itself, so the list below is purely in alphabetical order:

Albania – Mishela Rapo – Dambaje

Armenia – Mika – Love

Australia – Bella Paige – My girls

Belarus – Ruslan Aslanov – Volbshestvo (Magic)

Bulgaria – Gabriela Yordanova and Ivan Stoyanov – The colour of hope

Georgia – Virus – Gabede

Ireland – Aimee Banks – Réalta na mara (Star of the sea)

Italy – Chiara & Martina Scarpari – Viva

Macedonia – Ivana & Magdelena – Pletenka (Braid)

Malta – Destiny Chukunyere – Not my soul

Montenegro – Jana Mirković – Oluja (Storm)

Netherlands – Shalisa – Million lights

Russia – Mikhail Smirnov – Mechta (Dream)

San Marino – Kamilla Ismailova – Mirror

Serbia – Lena Stamenković – Lenina pesma (Lena’s song)

Slovenia – Lina Kuduzović – Prva ljubezen (First love)

Ukraine – Anna Trincher – Pochny z sebe (Start with yourself)

Eurovision Ireland will be out there (natch) for all the fun and games, especially as our girl Aimee will be flying the flag. Tune in from Monday for all the rehearsal news. And to get you going, here’s last year’s winner. This year’s winner will have a tough act to follow.

And having listened to all of these songs, tell us what your favourites are.
