ALBANIA : Their 2015 Eurovision song for Vienna is withdrawn

December 2014 saw Elhaida Dani win the Festivali i Kenges with the song ‘Diell’. Hence she and the song were set to go and represent Albania at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna.

However just over an hour ago Elhaida took to Facebook to announce that the song ‘Diell’ has been withdrawn from Eurovision.

What is the reason?

Elhaida explains that the author of ‘Diell’ has withdrawn the song for personal reasons stating

“It’s just that I know that I will represent Albania in the Eurovision with a song other than the one with which I won ….. in December. The news will be posted soon, but I anticipate it to you.
The author of Diell, irrevocable for personal reasons, decided to withdraw the piece and it will unfortunately not be used during the Eurovision Song Contest.
In respect of his sudden personal decision, and in agreement with RTSH, and in compliance with regulations ESC, it was agreed that, as the winner of FIK, I represent my country in Vienna with a new song. The hope is that this problem does not lead sudden damage and no controversy; ~ The shared objective remains what Albania get a good result on stage in Vienna and all will work hard to achieve it. ~
ELHAIDA DANI”

So we wait for the new song that Elhaida will now perform at Eurovision 2015.

What genre of music do you think that Elhaida should now sing at Eurovision?
