Albania : Alexander Rybak pulls out of Albanian Eurovision performance tonight.

The 2009 Eurovision winner took to his Facebook page today and gave this statement

This comes off the back of his Facebook post following his band Milki failing to win the Belarussian Eurovision 2015 selection on December 26th with his video where he said “I’m taking a Break from it all” and calls into question the Jury decision.

Recent months have seen 3 unexpected results. We were sure that he would have made the Grand Final of ‘The Hit’ in Norway, then came the Maltese Eurovision National selection for Eurovision 2015 where again we thought that he could have Top 2 with his song performed by Franklin. Then came the Belarus National Selection on Friday Night. Milki came second with the public vote but was vastly overlooked by the jury members. 

Maybe a rest is exactly what Alexander needs but not for too long, as we are fans here at Eurovision Ireland. Everyone loves a great comeback and it will come!
