Things are hotting up in Sweden as the shortlisted artists for Melodifestivalen are being selected by SVT. It is rumoured in the Swedish News Agency Expressen that SVT are interested in having Linnea Henriksson participate in Melodifestivalen 2015.
Linnea Henriksson is a pop/jazz singer that competed in the 2010 edition of Idol in Sweden where she finished 4th.
In 2011 she released her first solo music single “Väldigt kär/Obegripligt ensam” which she had written and produced together with Orup. Also parts of Henriksson’s first solo music album Till mina älskade och älskare, which was released on 30 May 2012 was also co-written along with Orup.
In 2013, Henriksson was voted “Artist of the Year 2012” by P3:s listeners for the yearly P3 Gold gala receiving the most votes.
She collaborated with the Swedish superstar DJ Avicii on his song ‘Hope There’s Someone’, which is included in his debut album ‘True’.
According to Expressen both SVT and her record are keen for her to take part in Melodifestivalen but she is not sure herself. Time will tell as the Jury have already selected their 14 acts that will join SVT’s 14 selected acts that include Svensktoppen nasta winner Kalle Johansson. .
Would Linnea be an interesting prospect for Melodifestivalen 2015?
