Ireland – Can-Linn featuring Kasey Smith are well into their rehearsals for the Eurosong Final. Now we think that mentor Hazel Kaneswaran is trying to court the cute vote – and it’s working – as she shared this amazing photograph of her son getting in on the action during rehearsals. Note to Hazel – “All performers at Eurovision must be 16 years of age – but we are prepared to turn a blind eye just this once”.

Add to this the new official video for the song “Heartbeat” was released recently, it is safe to say that all things are well on the way to a well polished Eurosong performance.

If you want to know more about Kasey and Can-Linn then you can find out in our recent interview with Kasey and her mentor Hazel Kaneswaran.

The Irish Eurovision National Final – Eurosong 2014 – will take place on February 28th 2014 at 21:35 (GMT) on the Late Late Show on RTE1 and you can watch live Internationally using the RTE Player LINK HERE

Is “Heartbeat” your winner of Eurosong this year? Let us know.

  1. So you see how opinions can change: I don’t think very much of all 5 Irish entries this year, but if I MUST choose, then please this one ! In any case this is the least bad !

  2. Sigh. This song is so spectacularly overrated (if YouTube comments are to be believed), but it’s probably going to sweep the boards come February 28th because it’s the “most Irish-sounding” of the five (gag). Fair enough. More often than not, countries get the entry they deserve, and if this feeble effort is the best that the powers that be at RTE can do, then they deserve to go down in flames on May 8th.

  3. Have a feeling this is going to Copenhagen and if so, it could be another disappointment. I don’t mind it but I think Andrew Mann or Eoghan Quigg would be a better option. We’ll see come the 28th and the live versions.
