Russian broadcast Rossiya 1 has announced that their Eurovision Selection for 2014 will not take place on December 31st as previously arranged.
Back in September Rossiya 1 (One of 2 EBU Russian National Broadcasters) had launched their new National Selection called “Kto?” The Grand Final was scheduled to take place on December 31st, Today they have announced that this has been changed to an unconfirmed date in March.
The new Submission Deadline for entries is now February 28th – thus leaving a shorter period of time for Broadcaster Rossiya 1 to stage “KTO?” and submit a sing to the EBU before the official closing date.
Why the change of date? Well according to the channel it is due to the high interest from artists wanting to take part in the selection.
Will it be a “Party For Everyone”?
