Today Finnish National Broadcaster YLE, announced the 12 acts that will compete in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2014 – the Finnish Eurovision Selection Process. You can listen to the acts here

The 12 Candidates are

• Lauri Mikolla – “Going Down”
• Clarissa featuring Josh – “Top Of The World”
• Madcraft – “Shining Bright”
• Mikko Pohjola – “Sängyn reunalla”
• Jasmin Michaela – “Kertakäyttösydän”
• Hukka Ja Mama – “Selja”
• Hanna Sky – “Hope”
• Makea – “Painovoima”
• Dennis Fagerstrom – “My Little Honey Bee”
• Softengine – “Something Better”
• Lili Lambert – “Let me Take You There”
• Miau – “God/Drug”

We were given a glimpse of the songs and they range from Traditional to Pop to R-n-B to Rock.

The Finnish Selection continues with the following dates

• 28/12: Heat 1
• 04/01: Heat 2
• 11/01: Heat 3
• 18/01: Heat 4
• 25/01: Heat 5
• 01/02: Final
