The Senior Board of Members of the Polish National Broadcaster – TVP – met on Wednesday evening. They discussed the options available to Poland’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. We have been in contact with our Polish colleagues for an update on the situation.
TVP have said
“We should expect official information from TVP on their official website when decision will be finally taken”
However the TVP spokesman commented on the EBU extended deadline – “they have still time” to make their decision and any subsequent plans.
An announcement will come on the official Polish website HERE
TVP are giving Eurovision 2014 “serious consideration” otherwise they would have confirmed their non participation early in the season as they did in 2012 and 2013.
Poland made their début at Eurovision in Dublin in 1994 where they placed second with the song “To nie ja!” performed by Edyta Górniak.
