Austria’s 2014 Eurovision Representative Conchita Wurst has received the seal of approval for her participation at the contest from a former Eurovision Winner.

OGAE Austria had their Annual celebrations and in attendance was none other that Eurovision winner Anne-Marie David who won the contest with the 1973 classic “Tu Te Reconnaitrais” and then came third with the French entry in 1979 “Je Suis l’Enfant-Soleil”. Here is Ms David performing with DJ Mave O’Rick an amazing dance version of “Tu Te Reconnaitrais”.

Md David was one of the special guests at the Austrian OGAE celebrations. Not only were members competing in the Austrian OGAE Eurovision Singing contest – where they pay homage to Eurovision classics – they were treated to a 45 minute set from Ms Anne-Marie David.

Another of the special guests in attendance was Ms Conchita Wurst. As you will see from the picture Ms David was extremely happy to meet Conchita and show her support for her participation at Eurovision 2014.

You all know that we think that Ms Wurst at Eurovision 2014 is a pivotal moment in the contest’s history and her surprise appearance at the OGAE Austria celebrations was greeted with much appreciation from the fans.

Despite those minorities that call for Austria to be banned from Eurovision 2014 – it is a positive sign to see Eurovision Royalty accepting Conchita to the contest.

Bravo OGAE Austria for what seems to have been an amazing night of Eurovision Entertainment.
