The UK’s 2013 Eurovision Contestant Bonnie Tyler, has re-recorded her classic song “Holding Out For A Hero” for charity. The song is being used for the BBC’s “Children In Need” campaign for 2013.

It is hard to believe that the song was first recorded in 1984 and is destined to hit the charts again in November when “Children in Need” will take place in the UK. Tyler has recorded the song that is being used in a series of TV Campaigns asking the British Public to ‘Be a Hero’ and start planning fundraising events for the live event on November 15th.

When Children In Need last hit screens in 2011, it raised a staggering £26 million for Britain’s neediest youngsters and they hope to beat that figure again. Here are 2 clips of how the song will be used

Each year “Children in Need” has been on TV, they have released a charity single – so here is hoping for Bonnie to be back in the Singles Charts in the UK again.
