Hungary today officially confirmed their participation at Eurovision 2014. National Broadcaster MTVA has announced that they will be at Eurovision 2014 and will again use their successful “A-Dal” selection process to find their Eurovision 2014 entrant.
There will be 2 semi finals and a Grand Final in the “A-Dal” selection process.
MTVA has now asked for songs for A-Dal to be submitted from TODAY until December 1st.
No dates have been set for the live shows but the broadcaster is looking towards early 2014. Full confirmation to be released later.
The voting in the live shows will be Jury and Televote, but the big change to the process this year is that songs no-longer must be submitted in Hungarian. They can include English and any of the official national/ethnic minorities residing in Hungary.
For full submission details and rules of A-Dal, see the official website here
A-Dal has been used by Hungary for the last 2 years to select their Eurovision Entry and has seen them qualify for the Grand Final on both occasions with Compact Disco in 2012 and Bye Alex – who brought the country to the Top 10 with the song Kedvesem
