There is definitely something in the air at the moment – well to be more specific it is on the floor! Yes several of this year’s Eurovision contestants have gotten “The Chop” as they say.
Now I am probably just jealous, as I am aerodynamic or challenged in the follicle department (but proud of it) – but some singers have taken to the scissors and hair gel. Here are 3 of the best in a BIG WAY!
Ah the lovely Moran from Israel. I thought she was very unlucky not to win – The Barbara Dex Award that is. Her dress scared me on Semi Final night, as I feared a wardrobe malfunction. However with the scissors, she has gone from Lynda Woodruff to the new Lady Gaga look. What a difference a good stylist makes – so I am told as I sit here in my pajamas! Douze Points for the retro look!
Never mind “Love Kills” – the amount of hairspray that Roberto has used to create this Jedward inspired quiff must have made that hole in the ozone just that bit bigger. Either that or he actually looked back at the Eurovision DVD and was just as terrified as we were, with his 2 dancers and their suggestive footwork and pelvic thrusting! As we speak Jedward are plotting to de-quiff the Bellarosa Skyscraper!
Just in case you don’t think that is Roberto – here he is again to prove the point – or as we say in Ireland “To be sure to be sure”. No more puppy dog eyes with floppy hair. He looks like a man on a mission now – and superb finger-pointing too!
As the saying goes – “We have saved the best till last”. Firstly I wasn’t sure that ByeAlex – aka Alex Márta – had hair. He kept it covered all the time while in Sweden. Maybe in a stroke of defiance to my thoughts of his baldness, Alex decided to post this recent picture. The classic “comb-over”, that was the choice of every self-respecting man in the 1930’s, is making a comeback in Hungary! However we like the slightly grunge twist to his look. He also looks a little startled. He probably caught a glimpse of his picture just as he hit the “share button”. Hey that is “Kedvesem” for you – as they say in Hungary.
As Cheryl Cole would say “Why Aye Man – Cause I’m Worth It” – And they are! Now where is my super strength “Regaine”!
