Each Eurovision Song contest selects a “Motto” for the contest. So what is the motto of Eurovision 2014? Well we are hosting a competition to find the best motto for Eurovision 2014 that we will suggest to Danish Broadcaster DR.
There have been some thought provoking and puzzling motto’s over the years. So before we look at 2014 – what have we had in the past?
2013 Sweden – “We Are One”
2012 Azerbaijan – “Light Your Fire”
2011 Germany – “Feel Your Heartbeat”
2010 Norway – “Share The Moment”
2009 Russia – Well Moscow didn’t have a slogan but an image – “Fire Bird”
2008 Serbia – “Confluence of Sound”
2007 Finland – “True Fantasy”
2006 Greece – “Feel The Rhythm”
2005 Ukraine – “Awakening”
2004 Turkey – “Under the Same Sky”
2003 Latvia – “Magical Rendez-Vous”
2002 Estonia – “A Modern Fairytale”
We decided to seek the suggestions of our Eurovision Ireland readers to devise a sentiment and motto for Eurovision 2014. We will present your suggestions to Danish Broadcaster DR. Post your suggestions on our Facebook Page here or tweet us here or mail us at EurovisionIreland@live.ie with the mail heading “Eurovision 2014 Motto”. The 5 best “Eurovision 2014 Motto’s” (that a jury of Eurovision Experts across Europe will decide upon) will be put to a public vote in an on-line poll here at Eurovision Ireland. The winner selected by the public will receive some Eurovision Memorabilia courtesy of Eurovision Ireland and present the winning suggestion to DR.
We will take your suggestions between now and midnight September 1st. So get thinking! Tell us the inspiration for your motto. Make them fun or as serious as you like. All we ask is that you respect that we have readers of all ages to our site – so be conscious of what you write. We will start the ball rolling with the suggestion “Music for EVERYONE”.
GET THINKING!

I think that LT United summed up what every country wants to do at Eurovision:
“We Are The Winners…of Eurovision” 🙂
Love it!!
How about ‘Only Music Survives’ as a Motto
Very true Sue – Like it!
