Malmo – like Oslo did in 2010 – will be rolling out a “Pink Carpet” for the visiting singers, delegations, press and fans at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The City is saying that it is going to celebrate the large Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender following that Eurovision has – as well as a straight population too. The city has several gay and gay friendly bars, clubs and cafes.

Wonk is one of Malmo’s largest Gay venues and for the week of Eurovision it will be relocating to the larger premises at Amiralen in Folkets Park. They have 5 five nights between the 11th and 18th of May booked for Eurovision concerts. Each night will feature a different Eurovision or Melodifestivalen act performing including Loreen, Charlotte Perrelli, Alcazar and Martin Rolinski. For full details use the 2 links

Cabaret Moulin – Malmo’s premier drag show in Sweden – the famous “Cabaret Moulin”will host a spectacular gala show on the eve of the Eurovision Grand Final on May 17th at the Tango Palace in Malmö. The show will be a Eurovision Smörgåsbord. For more details on the show follow the below link

Bee Kök & Bar – April 25th sees the opening of this new gay venue in Malmo. Their will be in Södra Förstadsgatan, and will be their second venue following their first opening in Gothenburg. This is a gay restaurant – though you can bring your straight Eurovision friends with you. You can find out more at
