Who will represent Armenia at Eurovision 2013? Well it was first reported by some media outlets that an internal selection would be made and that the front-runner was the 2008 Armenian entrant – and most successful to date – Sirusho.

AMPTV – The Armenian National Broadcaster – today announced that they have revised their plans for Eurovision 2013. They have decided not to have an internal selection. The reason for this is that there has been a lot of interest made to the TV Broadcaster from artists and composers this year following their absence from Baku last year.
Gohar Gasparyan, the Head of the Armenian Delegation commented “Earlier AMPTV announced an internal selection, but as we continue getting numerous letters and songs we decided to give an opportunity for as many singers/authors as possible to perform live and be selected by the viewers and professional jury – ensuring healthy competition.”
The application process opens today January 22nd and will close on February 20th. The national final will be broadcast live on “First Channel” of the Public Television of Armenia on March 2.
So if you have a song or you would like to represent Armenia on stage at Malmo at Eurovision 2013 – apply now.
