Will Nikki Kavanagh be at the Irish Eurosong Final? Well we have spoken to our dear friend Nikki and she has confirmed that she will be at Eurosong this year.

However as many of the Irish book makers have Nikki down as one of the contenders she has told us exclusively that she will not be performing as a solo performer this year but that she will be lending her support to one of the acts and will be a backing singer at the Eurosong Final.

As you will remember that Nikki was a member of Team Niamh Kavanagh at Eurovision in 2010 in Oslo where she sang with Irish Eurovision Legend Niamh Kavanagh on “It’s For You”. They took Ireland back to a Eurovision final after an absence since 2007. That was a huge success for Ireland.

Nikki has become a mother to the most beautiful Twins and explained that she wanted to give her full attention to her new family. However she has vowed that she will be there in 2014 for sure looking to represent Ireland at Eurovision. Several of this year’s mentors had expressed an interest in Nikki but she could she quite rightly wanted to concentrated on being a new mother. However we will see Nikki at the Eurosong Final singing support vocals for one of the acts.

So we will see Nikki at Eurosong and we will indeed be having a chat with her between now and then. A lot of Irish Eurovision fans desperately want to see Nikki at Eurovision headlining an entry and we have a strong feeling this will happen.
