SPAIN – Goosebumps

Spain – This was the goosebumps moment of the day so far. Pastora came onto the stage with such presence.

The Song

Singing the song “Quedate Conmingo” – this is a classic ballad of the Celine Dion and Whitney Houston mould. The range in Pastora’s voice is sensational. People in the press hall were clapping after most of her run troughs of the song and the media attention around her was immense.

The Vocals

The control in Pastora’s voice is unbelievable. She was hitting the high notes of the song with complete ease but it was her delivery that had people glued to her performance. She commanded the stage and her facial expression showed true emotion and passion.

The Staging

It began in a dark blue and as the song began to build the staging changed to a golden/green which was accompanied by a starred backdrop. Anyone who cannot admit that this was not an amazing first rehearsal – even if they do not like the style of the song – is totally seeking attention. Any professional artist would be proud of such a rehearsal.

Final Analysis?

So now I am in a quandary as Italy, Azerbaijan and Spain have all been amazing today.

Could Spain get their next victory? Well 1969 was their last.
