
According to Aktuálně, Czech national media, ČT’s participation at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas, in under threat due to a severe cost-cutting exercise currently taking place.
ČT is in the process of having to save 350 million koruna across a range of programming – including entertainment, children’s and local output. As well as programming cuts, staff lay-offs will also be required. Aktuálně reports that Eurovision Song Contest participation is set to end as part of the latest budget cuts.
