#birthday: 29 Sept – Princ from Serbia is 33

We’ve picked a ballad today. Some of you may prefer the banger, but the ballad is a tried and tested source of success at our favourite TV show. Just think of all those slower songs that you may have amongst your favourites.

Today’s birthday boy Принц [од Врање]/Princ [od Vranje] (né Стефан Здравковић/Stefan Zdravković) comes from a country that’s had more than its fair share of ballads over the years. They even won one in the debut year as a standalone nation. So with lots of hair and a decent staging, could he continue the tradition? Well, with 100% televoting in his semi-final, maybe a Thursday night audience wanted something a with a bit more oomph to it. Still, that head of hair should have won an award somehow.
