VRT, the Dutch-language national broadcaster, have revealed they have an extension on participation, at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.
VRT has received an extension from the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, to make a decision on their participation at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas. A spokesperson for VRT, had the following to say to De Morgen:
“We are in dialogue with the EBU regarding the concerns we previously raised. Those discussions are still ongoing.”
The concerns previously raised revolve around a direct vote among member broadcasters about Israel’s participation in the Contest and without a clear framework to determine under what conditions a country can or cannot participate within the Eurovision Song Contest.
