šŸ‡§šŸ‡¹ #ASIA26: Druk Dra (ā€˜Rhythm of Bhutan’) Format Revealed; Entries Released

BBS, the Bhutanese national broadcaster, have confirmed the format for Druk Dra (ā€˜Rhythm of Bhutan’) – their national selection for Eurovision Asia 2026.

Druk Dra (ā€˜Rhythm of Bhutan’), will be presented by Phub Tshering (who will present the show in Dzongkha) and Kelzang Dolkar (in English). Druk Dra (ā€˜Rhythm of Bhutan’) will take place at 14:00 BST/15:00 CEST/19:00 BTT, on Tuesday 11th August, from the BBS Studios in Thimphu. The show will be broadcast on BBS 1, the BBS digital platforms in Bhutan and on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel, for viewers outside of Bhutan.

The winner and Bhutanese representative for Eurovision Asia 2026, will be decided by a combination of a professional jury (40%), Bhutanese public voting (40%) and Rest of the World public voting (20%). The members of the professional jury panel are Choeying Jatsho, Pema Samdrup, Sonam Dorji & Ugyen. Voting will take place on the official Eurovision Asia website. Each viewer has eight free votes but they must vote for at least three different songs.

The running order of the five songs competing in Druk Dra (ā€˜Rhythm of Bhutan’) is:

  1. Karma Drupchu – ā€œPha Yuelā€ (The Homeland)
  2. The Sangay Lhaden Band – ā€œPemi Tshewang Tashiā€ (The Legend)
  3. Nyendra – ā€œLhayi Semoā€ (The Angel)
  4. Pelden Wangchuk – ā€œJo’druelā€ (The Journey)
  5. Baeyul 301 – ā€œDrenpaā€ (The Memories)
