For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Gothenburg.

2012 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2012 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. David Lindgren took first place (129,374 votes), with “Shout It Out”, while Ulrik Munther took second place (113,617 votes), with “Soldiers”.

2013 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2013 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Sean Banan took first place (143,724 votes), with “Copacabanana”, while Louise Hoffsten took second place (84,021 votes), with “Only the Dead Fish Follow the Stream”.

2014 – Heat Three

The third heat of 2014 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Oscar Zia took first place (60,735 votes), with “Yes We Can”, while Ace Wilder took second place (43,704 votes), with “Busy Doin’ Nothin’”.
